The Challenge:
Bayshore Home Health, Canada’s largest provider of home and community health care services, was in the process of combining two of its Hamilton, Ontario offices. The challenge was to accommodate current filing needs and allow room for growth.

Bayshore needed to maximize its storage space and store a large number of files in one small room. Staff wanted a safe, user-friendly and accessible solution.

Given the circumstance of combining two offices, Bayshore required quick turnaround to avoid filing chaos. The office has well over 2000 files and the thought of having these on the floor as the bins which Bayshore moved them in needed to be returned was a nightmare in the making.

The Solution:
Bayshore engaged, Sensyst - The Business Interiors Group Inc., a full service space planning, interior design, and contract furniture dealership, to assist with this project and provide solutions. Sensyst proposed Spacefile’s high-density filing solution as the answer to Bayshore’s current and ever expanding needs.

Spacefile delivered and installed its Mechanical Assist Mobile (SDS) three weeks before the standard delivery date. Spacefile was able to achieve this through a strong coordinated effort between office and plant managers, a local Spacefile dealer, and Bayshore staff.

The installation only took 3-4 hours, far less than the average installation time for a typical high density storage company. The SDS system was easily installed inside a tight space with room to spare.

The Result:
Bayshore Home Health has been able to move its filing to a much smaller room and maximize its storage space. Employees like the new system, as it is now easier to find files and work efficiently. The convenience of the end tab filing supported by Spacefile’s ThinLine tiers has saved the office valuable time.
